Production Schedule and monitoring document

1. Schedule Creation: this week I will make sure that I create a realistic schedule to enable me to submit a completed project for the 15th February in accordance with the objectives outlined in my treatment. The schedule will be realistic, detailed and will contain 3 meaningful activities to complete as homework. Homework activities should take up four hours additional study time per week.

2. Schedule Creation: Today I will look at other commitments I have in my other A Levels including scheduled exams – this will enable me to produce a realistic schedule. In order to do this I will need to ask my other subject teachers about deadlines for homework/coursework during the next six weeks.

3. Schedule Creation: Today I will carry on with my schedule creation.  

4. Project Monitoring & finishing off my schedule creation: make sure I have every part correctly and realistically filled out.

Homework 1: Practicing for my Performing arts gig that’s on Monday.

14th Jan
1. Write my ‘top ten best selling rock albums of all time’ article: starting my ‘Top ten bestselling rock albums’ article: I will put each album in order and start discussing each band and album with how many copies they sold and the most popular songs on each album.

2.  Add colours to the 'Top the best selling rock albums double page spread.

3. Work on my blog, upload any finished work and complete and upload outstanding blog work. 

4. Project Monitoring & start making amendments to my ‘How to survive a rock festival’ double page spread. Firstly adding the interview and any amendments I made to the original article.

Homework 1: Interview on the 18th with pulled apart by horses

Homework 2: Interview on the 20th with a new and upcoming band, then write my article on ‘a new and upcoming band’ after getting both interviews done.

Homework 3: Film studies homework-Start filming for my short film.

1. I will complete my ‘How to survive a rock festival’ double page spread, making the final amendments ready to start on my next double page spread.

2. I will finish off my ‘new and upcoming band’ article and my ‘top ten best selling rock albums ever’ and start on making the ‘top the best selling rock albums ever’ double page spread. This will include setting out the layout on InDesign and adding the background image and the album images. I will then create the header and each sub header for the albums.

3. Complete my ‘top ten best selling rock albums ever’ double page spread by adding colours and any further amendments. If I finish this in lesson with time to spare I will start my front cover, creating the layout on InDesign and adding the background image.

4. Project Monitoring & carrying on with my front cover production. Adding sell lines and creating the bold header for my magazine. Sorting out the fonts and style of the double page spread then adding the text making sure all the text is visible, and the right colour has been used against the background image to clearly see the entire article.

Homework 1: Interview on the 22nd with Jonny Rhoades ‘how to survive a rock festival’ experiences and advice he has.

Homework 2: Finish my front cover and start creating the contents page. Make the layout for the contents page on InDesign and add the images ready to create each page number.

Homework 3: Media blog work, get my blog finished and up to date, this will include finishing any work I haven’t done of my blog and also doing amendments for the work that’s already on my blog.

28th Jan
1. Finish contents page, adding appropriate fonts and colours. Making a separate header for each page number and fonts according to each article. Experiment adding a border and the colours to use for one. Upload images on electric guitars onto border.

2. Start creating my ‘New and upcoming band’ double page spread. Add background image then appropriately fit in columns and article.

3. Create the header for my article. Add colours and fonts. Upload each separate album image next to the columns in their appropriate places.

4. Project Monitoring & working on blog-adding project monitoring reports and images of my progress.

4th Feb
1. Breakout boxes-this lesson I will focus on my breakout boxes for my ‘new and upcoming band’ article and ‘how to survive a rock festival article.’ I will also see if I can fit in a breakout box on my ‘Top ten best selling rock albums’ article and id it looks right, I will research a few ideas of what I could include in that.

2. I will go through all of my product and double check everything is correct such as colours, fonts, and layout are all right on every page.

3. This lesson I will assess my own magazine and give myself positive and negative points for each page discussing what went well and what I could still improve on.

4 Project Monitoring & blog work.

Homework 1: Media blog- organize everything on my blog adding more images of my progress and my assessment of my magazine.

Homework 2: Get friends and family to peer assess my magazine giving me positive and negative points for me to write up and post on my blog.

11th Feb




1. After getting my peer assessment points back I will make further adjustments to my magazine on a whole and use criticism to improve my magazine.

2. Thoroughly check each page on my magazine making sure it’s all correct. Start exporting my project in the right format to make sure there are no missing links and fonts.

3. Hand in my final product, double check everything has been handed in correctly and that the whole product is there.

4 Project Monitoring & double checking everything is on my blog that’s necessary and that I have completed all needed for this production.

Homework 1: Add final images for monitoring onto my blog and any further posts I made during production.

Homework 2: Practice for performing arts final gig.

Homework 3: Work on film studies short film.
